are you originally from?

When and why
did you start using the name Ruin?
Ruin:
The year 1996 and the way I came up with the name was I Ruin all my competition
and every stage I touch!

When
did you first get into the music game and started making music?
Ruin:
In 8th grade when I put a group together named A Different Style
consisting of me, my cousin, and lil sister

Your
tracks are hot, where do you get your concepts when creating and producing
tracks?
Ruin:
I usually just vibe with producers that are talented and pick a hot track out of
the archives and some producers no my style so well they know what type of
tracks I may be looking for. The tracks usually takeover my mind when I write to
them.

Tell us a
little something about your crew at Blak Psyircle.
Ruin:
We are group of talented individuals with totally different styles but the same
love and passion for the rap game.

What’s up
with the album? Tell us the name of the album and when did you come up with the
concept?
Ruin:
The album will be in the stores August 19th entitled “Fire” the name
came from the description of how everybody views my lyrics and style.

What
producers do you have on the album, and has worked with in the past?
Ruin:
Shortcut is the only producer on this album I’ve work with in the past. Psyche
Mantaz (our in house producer), Tony Drama, Baby D, Dj Donnie D, Judah and Joe
Buttaz are all new.

Do
you produce your own tracks?
Ruin:
No, I’m sticking to the mic!

What does rap
music mean to you? Where is it headed?
Ruin:
Hip hop as a whole is my life and with me apart of it I see it headed straight
into 80 more centuries. It’s not going anywhere it will always evolve!

Are
you working on any new projects?
Ruin:
Yes, I got a couple of mixtapes I’m on being distributed throughout the states.

What are your
goals in the business as a rapper/producer/and entertainer?
Ruin:
My goal is to
be a successful rapper and sell millions of albums. And hopefully I could be
just as good as productions as I am as a rapper. I know I’m going to be the
perfect entertainer whether its performing on stage or acting there will be
nothing I can’t do!

is the most important aspect of the music industry you have learned?
Ruin:
Don’t put all your trust into one person!

advice would you give to some of the up and coming rap artists and producers
in the DC, MD, and VA areas?
Ruin:
Don’t give up understand there is a place for everyone although not everyone
will make! You don’t want to think about later what could have happen!
